Edixon Valdez
Edixon Valdez was born in the Dominican Republic and has lived in the United States since age 17. As a kid, I loved picking up retazos (pieces) of leftover colorful fabrics from a sac that my seamstress aunt Tilin used to lock away. With those retazos, he made crafts: decorated jars, cans, etc. But most important to Edixon, he began his creative career in designing, and started making hand-made dresses for younger cousin dolls.
But his passion was not allowed to flourish so after graduating from Plattsburgh State University of New York with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Hospitality, Edixon began his employ with Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City. He longed for his first love fashion, so he enrolled in a sewing and pattern making class at New York’s infamous Fashion Institute of Technology.
Edixon caught the Fashion Bug and proceeded in creating his first collection for men through sportswear and for women with eveningwear.

Katie Andrew is originally from and grew up in Tacoma, Washington. She currently lives in New York City. Katie earned her BA from Lake Forest College in Economics and Mathematics and then went on to achieve an AAS degree in Fashion Studies from Parsons in New York City.
She considers herself basically a shy geek. Katie’s original aspiration when she first entered fashion school was to design outfits for drag queens due to her obsession and love for sequins and feathers, but unfortunately the majority of queens are master tailors themselves and had no use for her.
She still considers her style and taste to be flamboyant and “costumey,” but my now her goal is to extend her demographics from drag queen costumes to show-stopping ready-to-wear and evening wear collections. Katie says, “If I could work for anyone out there it would be The Blonds. I love what they do and I think our styles are really similar. If you want to witness a show that is really a “SHOW”…vote for Katie! Thanks!”

Safronia Ivory

Safronia Ivory, was a fourth-generation seamstress, who began sewing at the age of nine. She was not satisfied with the lack of style that was offered to plus size women. She had the desire and the skill to transform boring garments into works of art and felt a need to pursue this on a higher level. She knew that other plus size women had the same need for stylish and well constructed clothing and were not afraid to pay for it! Thus Safronia Ivory LLC was born.
Safronia Ivory LLC was a concept developed by Safronia because of countless humiliating shopping experiences she endured as a plus size woman. Because her occupation as a medical device sales representative required her to have direct contact with customers, she knew she had to maintain a professional appearance and image. This forced her to design her own clothes. Positive feedback by the public showed Safronia that Safronia Ivory LLC could and would be a success.
Safronia Ivory has had much success with custom clothing for women of size. Through the years, she has developed her craft to include intricate beading work, textured fabrications and exotic color ways. Safronia Ivory strives to become a household name across the globe.
